Top 10 NCAA 25 dynasty teams
Trenton Corn breaks down his personal top ten dynasty teams to use in EA Sport's College Football 25
It’s July, which means Oklahoma and Texas are officially in the SEC, completing this year’s conference realignment and we’re now just single digit weeks away from kickoff. Additionally and arguably more importantly, EA Sports College Football 25 also releases to the masses on the 16th.
After watching some of the pre-released content breaking down the game, I cannot explain and emphasize just how excited I am about this game, especially dynasty mode, which is what inspired me to write this article.
What team do I use in dynasty mode?
This is the most important question to ask when starting your dynasty mode. I’m sorry, but if you start your career with Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Notre Dame, USC or Texas you’re a loser. Dynasty mode is meant to be challenging.
Nebraska
Nebraska is only at ten because it is technically a “Blue Blood”. However, they’ve been so bad for so long, that rebuilding what was a dynasty would be a lot of fun. Although I don’t weigh the starting roster you’ll have very heavily, you have to consider the fact that you’ll have Dylan Raiola on the roster, who was ESPN & Rivals first ranked QB in the 2024 class.
Colorado
What does Coach Prime do from here? Not only do you get to start your career with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter on the roster, but you can really dig into building your roster through the transfer portal exclusively, similar to how Colorado is building their roster currently.
Air Force
You could put any one of the military schools in here at number eight, because I think it would be very challenging to win at a high level with a military school and their triple option offense. Another fun wrinkle you could add, is making Air Force become the first military school to put more “air” under the ball and step into a more modern offense.
Kennesaw State
Kennesaw State is making their FBS debut this upcoming season. How fun would it be to start this journey with them? From managing a new conference, further realignment, new rivalries and the NIL, running a program from scratch would be epic. Not to mention their solid uniforms and recruiting pipeline at their disposal.
UTEP
Not only does UTEP have one of the bigger group of five stadiums (51,500), but you have to take into account that they’re right in the middle of the biggest recruiting hot bed in the nation. Both recipes for success in creating a successful college football program with the prospects into growing into something bigger.
Appalachian State
Known as the “Giant Killers” for a reason, App. State beat No. 5 Michigan in 2007 and recently upset No. 6 Texas A&M last season. Now, imagine turning those “Giant Killers” into perennial contenders, all while doing so in the beautiful setting that is Kidd Brewer Stadium.
Tulane
A former SEC program with recent success, Tulane would be a fun program to build back into the SEC (they were last in the conference in 1965). Also, their uniforms are arguably some of the BEST in college football.
James Madison
From FCS to FBS darlings, The Dukes football program is one of the fastest rising in the nation. With one of the best uniforms in college football (I’m partial to Purple and Gold) and a solid stadium, building JMU into a future ACC powerhouse would be extremely exciting.
Boise State
Boise State has arguably been the best group of five program this past decade. In fact, they haven’t had a losing season since I’ve been born (1999). Not only that, but you’re starting things off roster wise with former five star Oklahoma commit and USC transfer Quarterback, Malachi Nelson and former five star Wideout, Chris Marshall.
Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt offers what I believe is the best situation in dynasty mode. Although already in the SEC, you’re facing a STEEP uphill battle to develop a culture and identity to have success in that league. New Mexico State transfer Quarterback, Diego Pavia was one of the most underrated Portal findings this offseason and should help aid you in getting things back on track for the Commodores.
